John Mullin
John Mullin is the head of Edelman’s public affairs operations in Scotland. His expertise lies with health, financial services, local government and energy matters. John has extensive experience in public policy including social inclusion and corporate social responsibility. Additionally, John advises clients on policy issues, legislative proposals, the drafting of consultation responses and on the key decision-making processes of both national and local government.
John was an elected member of the former Strathclyde Regional Council from 1982 to its demise in 1996 - for the last nine of those years; he was its Finance Chairman. During this time, he was also an Executive Member of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (Cosla). Also, John has held a number of significant public appointments, including; Chairman of a Scottish Health Board, Member of the Accounts Commission for Scotland, Chairman of a local Careers Service, Non-Executive Director of a Local Enterprise Company.
