Jamie Lundie
Jamie Lundie is an Account Director in Public Affairs for Edelman London.
Jamie joined Edelman Public Affairs in December 2003, after two years as Deputy Press Secretary to the then Liberal Democrat Leader Charles Kennedy. From 1996 to 2001 he served as researcher and senior researcher to his predecessor as Leader, Paddy Ashdown, who subsequently became the International Community’s High Representative in Bosnia.
Jamie provides strategic counsel to a number of Edelman clients including Microsoft, T-Systems, Bechtel, Resolution plc and the Falkland Islands Government. Jamie’s seven years in Parliament have given him a strong understanding of political and parliamentary systems. As Deputy Press Secretary to Charles Kennedy, he had responsibility for liaising with the Parliamentary Lobby, and thus developed strong skills in dovetailing political and media strategies. At the 2005 UK General Election Jamie was given 5 weeks leave from Edelman and went back to work on the Liberal Democrat Leader’s tour, travelling around the country with Charles Kennedy and his media entourage - the election produced the best result for the Liberal Democrats since 1923.
