About Edelman and Europe Decides
Edelman’s European Public Affairs practice operates programmes in local markets, at the EU level and globally to influence public opinion, promote regulatory and legislative initiatives, build reputations, position litigation and manage issues. Globally, Edelman’s Public Affairs practice has more than 100 professionals in key political capitals, including Brussels, Beijing, London, Sacramento and Washington, D.C.
At Edelman, we run our Public Affairs programmes like a political campaign, orchestrating a wide range of strategies and tactics — including research, alliance formation, stakeholder mobilisation, online advocacy, media relations and grassroots activities. More and more, our work involves engaging and building communities online. This communications medium is taking hold on both sides of the Atlantic and, like in the U.S., is making its way into the national elections in Europe. That is why we have created this forum to update our own online community about what is going on in the European elections.
Embracing this trend, Edelman’s European Public Affairs practice has invited its senior consultants to share their take on the upcoming national elections in five European countries: Spain, the UK, Ireland, France and Scotland. This promises to be a very busy election season, and it is our hope to obtain your opinions on the issues and candidates that will surely shape Europe’s future.
